Have you ever thought about what they do with the empty water bottles or newspapers or even bicycle parts? I was reading in Woman’s Day and came across a list of what things are made from. You will be surprised.
Old jeans = home insulation
Glass = Road Asphalt
Plastic bottles = Shoelaces & diaper bags
Newspapers = Wallets, combs and pencils
Tires = Handbags & Mousepads
Cassette tapes = Gel pens
Computer circuit boards = Picture frames and clocks
Bicycle parts = CD racks and bottle openers
Vinyl records = Ipod cases
This is just a few things that is made out of recycled items. I just thought it was interesting and unexpected. Maybe that little bit of extra effort to recycle won’t seem in vain.
