Ways to Save on Your Groceries: Part 2

Welcome back to this series. Today we are talking about Coupon shopping!!! I am addicted to coupon shopping. The old tale is that coupons make you buy things that you would normally not buy. There is some truth to that but overall, coupons allow you to buy things that you have always wished you could buy. Let me tell you how.
Coupon shopping.
Our market is saturated with so many products. You walk down the butter section and you can have 20 plus different types of butter to choose from. How are companies going to get us to try their products? Two different ways, advertisements and coupons. They will get in front of us either by tv, radio or magazine ads or by putting a coupon in our hands that is worth using. We benefit from the coupons.
Each week, you get a Sunday paper that has coupon inserts in them. Go through the coupons and cut them out. In my earlier post, I suggested a way to organize them, click here if you would like to read that post for a suggestion. Most likely, you will not use the coupon that week that you cut out. Place the coupon in your file and wait to use it when the price is rock bottom.
Find a grocery store in your area that doubles coupons. That is your best option. Our Kroger stores doubles coupons up to .50 cents. This is where I do most of my shopping, especially for food items. Connect with a Walgreens or CVS for all you health and beauty needs. You will be amazed at the deals you will find at each of these stores. Both of these stores allow you to stack coupons. You can use their store coupons along with the manufacture’s coupons. Wal-Mart is great also for free to cheap deals but I don’t have as good of luck with Wal-Mart because they don’t double the coupon. I only use them to spot shop.
We will continue to talk about coupons tomorrow because this is the meat and potatoes of saving money on your groceries. Plus tomorrow, I will be giving you some scenarios of how to use the coupons that you have been collecting over the past few weeks. There are some great deals out there this week and I want you to be able to have victory over your grocery budget.
Talk to you tomorrow,
Anna
